Oil Tank Sweeping

Traditionally many homes in the Northeast were once or still are heated with fuel oil. Many of those tanks were located on the property and were buried in the ground. As years passed, some tanks were properly abandoned or removed. However, some still remain and our oil tank sweep can identify this potential environmental hazard if it were to leak.

Our investigation will consist of inspecting the interior conditions of the dwelling for evidence of abandoned fuel lines which indicates a buried tank was once utilized. Then, by using an industry standard magnetometer, we can non-invasively scan the property for the presence of a metal mass which could represent an underground oil storage tank. Checking for oil tanks is effective at detection and is also cost effective. Oil tank sweeps can save buyers or owners thousands of dollars and headaches by not being surprised with finding a buried tank or oil contamination in the future.
